Cait, Nolan and some of their friends got together this weekend to take some really great pictures.  A couple of their friends, Madison and Anna are aspiring photographers and as you can see, are extremely talented!!

Justin Bieber and a Banana Suit?? Another Typical Day at Momma Jill's House

I have blogged before about how fond I am of my children's 'significant others', but this week I was reminded once again how special they are.  As most already know, my Morgan is a huge Justin Bieber fan...huge.  So it was no surprise we went to the first showing of his new movie, NEVER SAY NEVER.  What would surprise some people (but not me) is that her boyfriend, Blake, who does not have Bieber Fever went with us and even wore the purple 3D glasses Morgan had gotten him.
Also this week, Hannah's boyfriend, Luke surprised us once again with his humor, originality and obvious dedication to our daughter.  Our family loves the game Bananagrams and have gotten Luke's family addicted as well.  So to ask Hannah to the prom, he showed up at our house in a...well, I think these pictures tell the story. :)
The funniest part was Hannah was so busy laughing, she didn't answer him for several minutes and he was actually worried she might say no.  Of course, she didn't!!  Lol, I love these guys!

Where Does It Go?

Seems like this has been happening a lot since the beginning of the year.  Time just seems to fly past, leaving me with no time to blog...or write.  Frustrating, this winter has been.  Snow.  Snow.  And more snow.  I saw on the news the other night we've already gotten more this year than we did the entire season last year.  Great.
So, to catch up on some of the things happening around here (besides sitting and watching the snow fall), my mom had surgery in Louisville last week and is doing remarkably well.  All the tests are back, and she is cancer-free! :)  She came home this past Sunday and called me Monday to say she had been craving Moonlite Bar-b-que.  Now, for those of you not familiar with Owensboro, we are the bbq capital of the world.  So, being the dutiful daughter, I picked some up for her and headed to my hometown.  I had not stopped in Hawesville for at least fifteen years, just passing through to one destination or another, but I wasn't surprised to see not much had changed.  Hawesville is one of those tiny town time seems to forget.  I laughed to myself as I came out of the post office after picking up Mom's mail and ran into a man wearing a raccoon-skin hat.  'Yep,'  I thought, 'I'm definitely back in Hancock County!'
Through all the snow-covered days, we have been able to count on our one ray of light.  CJ is growing so fast.  His favorite movie is, DESPICABLE ME and we watched it four times in a row when he was here last week.  Unfortunately, he also has a new BARNEY fixation, but he's always willing to help the girls with their homework.
And finally, I found out we've lost another sweet classmate.  My friend, Amanda, talked about Gerryl so eloquently here, I will only add that he will be missed, but I'm glad he is finally whole again.  Rest in Peace, my friend.

New Year...New Hopes...New Blessings

New Year's Eve found us once again surrounded by the young people we love so much.  What a great way to start off a great year!!

Beautiful Christmas

Sometimes I forget to look at the beauty around me, but Christmas offered a perfect time to take it all in.

Of course, there are a dozen or so more pictures reminding me of my many blessings.  I thank God for these young people, they truly are my heart.

Wesley Claus Visits

Poor Luke and Blake (aka Hannah and Morgan's boyfriends) Big brother, Wes decided to give them an early Christmas present.
I have to give Luke his props though.  He didn't miss a beat before saying, "You can open it first, Blake."  :))

What goes around...comes back around! :)

I've blogged about one of my favorite young men, Blake.  What I didn't share was that Blake and my Morgan dated a little this past summer.  How wonderful now that they have found one another again!

This weekend, Blake was a real trooper and went shopping with Morgan and me.  After buying Morgan's tree and decorations, the two spent all afternoon decorating.
Blake is over six foot...perfect for tree tops!
Typical Morgan! :)
Blake getting a little tired of being the supportive boyfriend!
Perfect!
Of course CJ had to get in on the action :)
Luckily, Blake has a little brother about CJ's age so he's really good with him
